Not a ball but a casual gardening morning!

I can tell you about the millions of varieties of salad dressings out there (the sky is the limit)! Or we can address the whole business of “how to dress a salad?”

Perhaps the single worst mistake that one can do is to over dress a salad. An overdressed salad takes away the crispness of the vegetables, overwhelms and hides the flavour of the delicate green leaves as well as wilts those leaves and completely ruins their textures. So you always want to make sure to dress the salad with just enough dressing to coat the leaves.

Overdressing a salad is like wearing a ball gown with long satin gloves and very high heels to a gardening morning!

Don’t do it…

Also I have learned a very good technique for dressing salad from chef Gordon Ramsay in the video below, where he instructs that you dress the bowl instead of the salad and that way the leaves get coated with the salad in the right amount. So I have attached the video here for you to watch as well, and also because it includes a quick Rocca and Parmesan salad that you can put together in no time.

And in this recipe I am am sharing with you the classic Italian Salad Dressing (as requested). Do check out the variety of salad dressing recipes posted on this site, the dressing can change the whole salad and we all love having that gorgeous bowl of Salad!
