Let's get this party started...

What is a party with no punch?

Every time we make this one our guests are in love with it and always rave about it 🙂

Punch is really any cocktail of fruit juices, mixed with fresh fruits. The cocktail of fruit juices could also include a cocktail of liqueurs and spirits too. Party Punch can really liven up your party and gives guests a chance to mingle as they gather up around it to pour their drink.

Here, I am showing you how to make the non-alcoholic fruit party punch. Place this fabulous punch in a large bowl, next to an ice bowl, and cups. Let your guests to pour their own.

This punch pairs very well with most of the cocktail bites posted on this website, all of which you can prepare at home for a marvellous New Year’s Party at home!! Note that this is a general guideline, but there is no set rule for making punch. It’s only a matter of choosing the best suited juices with the right fruits and also considering the flavour of the spirits you will use, if you will. Get creative and have a party!

This recipe serves 60 Punch Glasses (cut recipe in half for less quantity). I have also included for you a video for making fresh lemonade using real lemons, in case you were wondering!

Ingredients

Serves: 60
  • 350 ml fresh orange juice
  • 350 ml fresh lemonade
  • 1.350 liters unsweetened pineapple juice, chilled
  • 4 liters ginger ale, chilled
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1 cup sugar syrup (qater)
  • 2 liters Sparkling water
  • Fresh Strawberries, halve lengthways
  • Fresh Orange wedges
  • Raspberries
  • Blueberries
  • Cherries
  • Pomegranates

In a large container, combine the fresh orange juice and lemonade, then stir to mix. Stir in the lime juice & sugar syrup to combine.

Right before serving, pour 1/2 the juice mixture in a punch bowl, add ice cubes. Pour unsweetened pineapple juice, 1 ltr sparkling water, 2 ltr ginger ale and stir gently to combine.  Garnish with your chosen fruits.

During the party top up with the rest of the ginger ale & sparkling water and juices when punch levels drop. Always place punch cups & ladle right next to the punch bowl. The last thing you want is for the guests to be looking for those or worse yet for them to be dipping their glasses in the bowl!

You can use any fruits you like to fill a punch bowl. You can even make it chunky, by adding roughly chopped fruits or fruit wedges. You can use stoned appricots, peaches, grapes, cherry halves…etc
