hehehe! was reading and that came up today and could not help myself, had to share it!

So sometimes all we need is a soft bite… something that looks good to the eye, something watering to the palate, something soothing to the soul…. And sometimes nothing else would cut it! To me, most of the times, it just comes in the form of a chocolate spread!! That gooey, oozing, aromatic, chocolate spread that can go on anything. Toast, or better yet Brioche, on saj bread or over cookies… sometimes on its own, other times with bananas and crushed hazelnuts, maybe with strawberries and blueberries… or perhaps between layers of cake, or crepes… And very often inside freshly baked pita pockets, just out of the oven….! OMG! I have to stop!

Well I will leave you with both: the chocolate spread and those pita pockets. Live the dream!

 

Ingredients

  • 1 can condensed sweetened milk
  • 120g butter, melted
  • 120g DS Pure Hazelnut butter
  • 4 tbsp cocoa powder, sifted
  • 2 tbsp vanilla essence (optional)
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon (optional)

 

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until fully incorporated.

Place the spread in an airtight container and store in the fridge.

As simple as that!!

 

Store it in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 3 weeks.

Use as spread, dip or to frost cakes or fill cookies…etc.
