To make the Limeade or Lemonade Base
In a saucepan, (create a simple sugar syrup) heat and stir water and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let stand for 20 minutes.
Add peel and juice to the sugar syrup; pour into a glass bottle, cover & chill for several hours before serving.
For each glass of served lemonade, fill serving glass with ice cubes. Combine 1/2 glass water, & 1/2 glass lemonade or limeade base and stir until well blended. Pour lemonade over ice & serve.
- For a Lemonade Spritzer, use sparkling water instead of still water.
- For an Alcoholic Lemon Spritzer use Champagne instead of Sparkling water.
